Akshay does go into Hulk mode towards the end but most times watches in gleeful fascination as his lady love chops up the baddies. She has kicked butt with aplomb in her well executed action scenes. The director has added another twist in making Amy a close combat expert. Lara is a hoot as she deadpans her lines, showing flair for campy comedy. Most of the comedy is drawn from Imly's outlandish translations. Then, there is also Mark (Kay Kay Menon), a megalomaniac villain, who wants to marry her and a long lost mother, whom Sara just has to find somehow. Now, Raftaar doesn't know English, Sara doesn't know Hindi so a translator, Imly (Lara Dutta) is hired to help them communicate. Raftaar's first assignment is to act as a bodyguard for Sara (Amy Jackson), daughter of an underworld Don living in Romania. His father sends him to Goa, where a family friend runs a casino. Raftaar Singh (Akshay Kumar) is a large hearted Sikh guy who is forever getting into trouble because of his antics. Then, Lara Dutta's character seduces people while sleepwalking and throws coconuts at their private parts. It's also that kind of a film where a 54 year old Rati Agnihotri is playing mother to a 48 year old Akshay. The director makes his intentions amply clear when he appears in a cameo set amidst a urinal and pees on Akshay Kumar. Prabhudheva has a knack for broad comedies and Singh Is Bling is no exception.
